International Exchange
In 2017, ISE has established an Erasmus+ partnership with the University of Namur in Belgium. Starting the spring semester of 2019, every year, two students in their final year of studies at ISE will be hosted in Belgium. The scholarship includes an 840 EUR travel support and a stipend of 800 EUR. It also covers all tuition fees abroad. This opportunity is open for all ISE students. The Selection Committee meets in November of every year to select students, based on academic achievement, motivation, and suitability to the program.
The direct impacts of this project include improving students' education, providing an international exposure, as well as deepening the pre-existing partnership between the institutions, also through the intensification of the joint research projects. KBTU is seeking to develop its ties with continental Europe and identifies UNamur as an ideal continental European partner, with whom the prospects for collaboration are promising. KBTU will also benefit from the continued access through UNamur to European programmes (Erasmus+, H2020, etc). University of Namur, and indirectly its students, will also benefit because of the addition of a new exchange destination in a geographical region where the university has not yet been represented.
